6-day tour from Tangier to the Merzouga desert: a private, tailor-made trip with your own driver and a flexible itinerary.

This route links northern Morocco with the Sahara in less than a week. It also passes through Chefchaouen, Fes and the Middle Atlas. So it is ideal if you arrive in Tangier by ferry or plane.

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

We pick you up at Tangier port or airport. First, we take a short tour of the city. Then we drive towards the Rif mountains. In the afternoon we reach Chefchaouen, the blue city. Its blue-painted houses make it one of the prettiest towns in the north. Night in Chefchaouen.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Fes – Ifrane – Midelt

After breakfast we head to Fes, the oldest imperial city in the country. On the way we see some of its sights. Next, we climb to Ifrane and cross the great cedar forests. Finally, we reach Midelt, where we spend the night.

Day 3: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Today we cross the Atlas through the Ziz river valley. Along the way we stop often to see gorges, oases and a large reservoir. Then we pass through Errachidia. In the afternoon we arrive in Merzouga. The hotel sits next to the Erg Chebbi dunes, so you can walk on the sand at sunset.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi loop – night in the desert

In the morning we explore the area around the dunes. First, we visit a Gnawa house and listen to their music. After that, we see old mines, nomad families and palm oases. After lunch we rest for a while. In the afternoon the dromedaries are waiting. With them we ride into the dunes to the camp. There we watch the sunset, have dinner and listen to drums under the stars.

Day 5: Merzouga – Fes

We get up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara. Then we ride back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. Later we start the journey north. In the afternoon we reach Fes. That way you have time to rest and enjoy the city. Night in Fes.

Day 6: Fes – Tangier

After breakfast we drive back to Tangier. On arrival we take you to your hotel or the port. This is where our services end.
