3-day tour from Tangier to the Merzouga desert and Marrakech: a private, tailor-made trip with your own driver and a flexible itinerary.

The fastest route from Tangier to the Sahara dunes, ending in Marrakech.

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fes

Pick-up at the port and a drive through the dramatic Rif mountains via Tetouan to Chefchaouen, one of Morocco’s prettiest towns: red-tiled roofs, blue houses and lanes leading to Outa el-Hammam square and its restored kasbah. On to Fes.

Day 2: Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

Departure at 8 am towards Merzouga across the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests. We pass Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco”, the Ziz Valley and gorges and Erfoud, then a desert track to Merzouga. At sunset, a one-hour dromedary caravan. Dinner at camp and a night in a tent in the heart of the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Agdz – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Sunrise over the dunes and a camel ride back. After breakfast we drive to Marrakech via Rissani, cradle of the Alaouite dynasty, the Berber villages of Alnif and Nkob and the Draa Valley at Agdz, where we have lunch. Over the High Atlas to Marrakech. Night in a riad or hotel.
