Day 1: Marrakech – Telouet – Ouarzazate

Pick-up at 8 am, the Tizi n’Tichka (2,260 m) and a back road to the kasbah of Pasha Glaoui in Telouet. The Ounila Valley to Ait Ben Haddou, with lunch in the village, then the Ouarzazate film studios. Dinner and night in a charming hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Agdz – Zagora

The Tizi n’Tinififft pass (1,660 m) and the Tamnougalt kasbah, with lunch. In the afternoon a track along the Draa Valley through palm groves and kasbahs to Zagora. Dinner and night in a hotel.

Day 3: Zagora – Tamegroute – Erg Chegaga

Tamegroute, famous for its green pottery, with the old Islamic library, the potters and the underground kasbah. Then M’Hamid and the track to the Erg Chegaga dunes for a magical sunset. Night at a bivouac with dinner under the stars.

Day 4: Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguid – Tazenakht – Ouarzazate

Sunrise over the dunes and breakfast. A visit to a nomad family living in tents, the dry Lake Iriki and the acacia plateaus with a picnic. Then Tazenakht, the Berber village of carpets and saffron, and Ouarzazate. Dinner and night in a lovely riad.
