Day 1: Casablanca – Marrakech
Welcome at Casablanca airport with a sign bearing your name and transfer to your riad in Marrakech. A first taste of Jemaa el-Fna square, with storytellers, music, dancing and food stalls. Night in a riad.
Day 2: guided Marrakech
A guided visit of the most iconic monuments: the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia area. A free afternoon to get lost in the alleys of the medina. Night in a riad.
Day 3: Marrakech – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley
Departure at 8 am towards the Tizi n’Tichka pass, with stops for the Atlas views. After Ouarzazate and lunch, the Skoura palm grove and its hidden kasbahs, then the Valley of Roses to the Dades. Dinner and night in a hotel.
Day 4: Dades – Todra – Merzouga
The road of kasbahs and ksour to Tinghir and the spectacular Todra Gorges, then Erfoud, the fossil town, and Rissani to Merzouga, facing the high dunes of Erg Chebbi. At sunset, by dromedary to the tented camp in the heart of the dunes. Dinner and a night in a tent under the stars.
Day 5: Merzouga – Fes
After breakfast, north through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas cedar forests, home to monkeys, Azrou, a centre for cedar-wood crafts, Ifrane and Imouzzer Kandar. Arrival in Fes and night in a riad.
Day 6: Fes
Morocco’s most labyrinthine medina, with souks divided by craft guilds, madrasas, the area around Al Qaraouiyine mosque, said to be the oldest university in the world, and the famous tanneries. We recommend a local guide. Night in a riad.
Day 7: Fes – Meknes – Rabat
A stop in Meknes, the dream of Sultan Moulay Ismail, then Rabat, the capital: the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Kasbah of the Udayas and its medina. Night in a riad.
Day 8: Rabat – Casablanca airport
Breakfast and transfer to Casablanca airport in time for your flight.
