To enjoy Morocco we recommend staying at least a week, ideally around ten days. That gives you time to see the main sights and experience local culture without rushing.

What you can see in the time you have
Morocco is a big country with a lot to see. Favourite destinations include Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca and Chefchaouen, the blue city: each has its own history and atmosphere.
If you also want to visit the Sahara Desert or the Atlas Mountains, plan several days for those experiences. With more time you can add lesser-known places and off-the-beaten-track activities: the souks, historic gardens and Moroccan cuisine.
At a glance
- 4–5 days: one imperial city and the desert (for example Marrakech and Merzouga).
- 7–8 days: Marrakech, the desert, the gorges and Fes.
- 10 days or more: the imperial cities, Chefchaouen, the desert and perhaps the coast.
Find concrete ideas in our tours from Marrakech, or ask us for a tailor-made trip based on the days you have.
