8-day tour from Casablanca: a private, tailor-made trip with your own driver and a flexible itinerary.

Two deserts in one trip, Erg Chebbi and Erg Chegaga, between the imperial cities of Fes and Marrakech.

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes

Departure from your accommodation in Casablanca. In Rabat the Kasbah of the Udayas and the Hassan Tower, in Meknes Bab Mansour and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Dinner and night in a lovely riad in Fes.

Day 2: Fes

A day with a local guide in the medina: mosaics and doorways, the Bou Inania and Al Qaraouiyine madrasas, Bab Boujloud. Dinner and night.

Day 3: Fes – Merzouga

The Middle Atlas, the Ziz Valley, Errachidia and Erfoud, then a stony desert to the Merzouga dunes. By camel to the bivouac for a night with Berber music.

Day 4: Merzouga – Zagora

Camel ride back, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif in Rissani and the road to Zagora, with a visit to a nomad family on the hamada. Night in a fine hotel.

Day 5: Zagora – M’Hamid – Erg Chegaga

Tamegroute with its pottery and Koranic library, tea in M’Hamid and by 4×4 to the Erg Chegaga dunes. A camel ride and a night at a bivouac under the stars.

Day 6: Erg Chegaga – Tazenakht – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

The dry Lake Iriki, Foum Zguid and Tazenakht, capital of Berber carpets. After lunch the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and over the High Atlas to Marrakech. Dinner and night.
