Errachidia is the closest gateway to the Merzouga desert. So this trip is perfect if you fly in and are short on time. In two days you sleep among the dunes, meet nomads and hear Gnawa music.

Day 1: Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi dunes

We pick you up at Errachidia airport or your hotel. First, we drive through the Ziz Valley and stop at a viewpoint for photos. Then we pass Erfoud, the fossil capital. In the afternoon we reach Merzouga, where the cameleer is waiting with the dromedaries. We cross the dunes for about half an hour to the camp. Night under the stars with local people.

Day 2: Merzouga – nomads – Khamlia – Rissani – Errachidia

We have breakfast at camp and ride back to Merzouga. Then we visit a nomad family near the Algerian border. Next, we go to Khamlia, the Gnawa village, to hear their music and learn about their way of life. In the afternoon we return to Errachidia via Rissani and drop you at the airport or your hotel.
