6-day tour from Agadir: a private, tailor-made trip with your own driver and a flexible itinerary.
A full loop from Agadir: the kasbahs, the Sahara, Marrakech and a return along the Atlantic coast.
Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Taroudant on the Souss plain, Taliouine, the saffron capital at 1,586 m, and Tazenakht, with photo stops and lunch on the way. A visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site, and arrival in Ouarzazate, the film city. Dinner and night in a hotel.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Rissani – Merzouga
The Anti-Atlas over the Tizi n’Tinififft (1,600 m), the Draa Valley through palm groves, villages and kasbahs, Nkob, Tazzarine and Alnif and a track to Rissani with its ksour and great souk. Then by camel up the highest dune for sunset and on to camp in the heart of the Sahara, with drums and a starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Sunrise over the dunes, a camel ride back and breakfast. The Rissani souk, the largest in the south, the Todra Gorges and a night in a riad in Boumalne Dades.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
The road of a thousand kasbahs, the Valley of Roses at Kelaa M’Gouna, the kasbah of Amridil in Skoura and the Tizi n’Tichka (2,260 m), with a stop at an argan cooperative. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon and a night in a riad.
Day 5: Marrakech – Essaouira
Through the argan forests to Essaouira, “pearl of the Atlantic”, the old Portuguese Mogador: art galleries, seafood, Orson Welles square and the beach. Night in a riad or hotel.
Day 6: Essaouira – Sidi Kaouki – Agadir
Along the coast through argan fields to Sidi Kaouki, one of the country’s most beautiful beaches, and Taghazout, a surfers’ paradise. Lunch in a local restaurant and arrival in Agadir in the afternoon.
